The Maths Booklet tab has different ideas and strategies we use in class.

Learn their times tables.

By the end of the year they should be able to recall all times tables.

Make their own set times table card games. Choose a times table or make it a mix of a few.

Write a times table calculation on one side and the answer on the other. Turn the cards calculation side up and see how fast they can answer them all.

Make 2 sets of cards. 1 set with a calculation on and another set with answers on. Turn the cards up side down adn take turns choosing 2 cards. If the cards match they keep the cards and have another turn.

Create a set of times table domino cards.

Snappy maths website has a wide selection of games and printable worksheets for different areas of maths.

This website enables you to create sheets for times table recall. We do regular 'Snappy Maths' 5 minute times table challenges in class. You can  select a particular times table or a mix and alter the number of questions they tackle.

Regular practise telling the time will be really beneficial. The children need to be able to read the time on analogue and digital clocks, in 12 hour and 24 hour time.
