Week Beginning 23.3.20

This week we were going to read the book 'Zog' by Julia Donaldson.  If you don't have the book at home there is the animated version on BBC iplayer

https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0bwdw8y/zog

  • As you read/watch Zog ask your child to listen out for the rhyming words.
  • Play a game where you start with a word eg cat and then your child has to say a word that rhymes.  Keep going until you run out of rhyming words.
  • Write a simple rhyming sentence eg. The log is in the bog.  The cat is sat on a mat.  How many rhyming words can you use in one sentence?

  • Make and write Easter cards, you could post Easter cards and letters to friends and relatives.
  • Practise writing your full name.
