Our School garden is well looked after by a team of staff and pupils. Our pond had a re-fit last year to replace the liner and the raised beds were added a couple of years ago along with the poly tunnel. The children are always keen to do the essential maintenance of pruning, weeding and watering. Our pond is currently full of wildlife including newts.
17.9.26. There are always jobs to do in the garden. 2 children helped Mrs Andrew today to plant Christmas potatoes which should be ready to harvest for our school Christmas dinner. They picked apples which year 5 enjoyed for their breaktime snack. One child said "they were the best apples". Another said they were "juice and sharp, they skin was a bit sour but the middle was sweet."
26.6 Oaks class popped into the garden at the end of a hot day and were delighted to meet this little fella.
