Geography
At Hatherleigh Primary School it is our aim that teaching and learning in Geography should inspire our pupils to have a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people. We aim to equip our pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes.
Where possible we make meaningful links between our learning in humanities and our learning in many other curriculum areas. We also endeavour to incorporate trips, fieldwork and visitors into our teaching and learning sequences so that children have first-hand experiences from which they can build upon.
