    We were all pleased to welcome Jenson, a Springer Spaniel from the Therapy dogs charity to school today. He will be joining Hatherleigh school every Friday to work with some of our children to support them with their reading and well being.
  • The Selfish Giant

    17.6.19. The whole school enjoyed an amazing afternoon at the Community Centre for the production of the Selfish Giant. Mrs Boother had organised their visit before she left and what a treat it was. Some children helped out on stage and everyone else had songs to join in with.   • Riddle writing achievers.

    Well done to the group of children in Chestnuts who entered a riddle writing competition. They all received a very special certificate today and their riddles are soon going to be published.
  • Ranger Russ' visit. Year 1 and Year 3 had an amazing morning with a visit from Ranger Russ and his fascinating creatures.

    Ranger Russ brought 8 incredible creatures with him including Poppy the leopard gecko, Chomper the Chaco Golden Knee tarantula and Ruby the Red-Tailed boa. Our visit was funded by the PTFA who give money for every child each year towards extra curricular visits. See Poplars' and Hawthorns' class pages for more photographs.

    Dartmoor Cup

    Four teams represented Hatherleigh School on Wednesday 5th June at the final round of the Dartmoor Cup.  All teams played well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They had a number of tightly fought games with one team walking away at the end of the day as Trophy Winners

  • Gardening Club Produce Sale

    Gardening Club

    The Gardening Club of Hatherleigh Primary school held a successful produce sale after school where they sold lettuces and rhubarb grown in the garden. They also sold tomato and pumpkin plants which they had grown from seed. £21 was raised which will be used to buy more seeds and compost. Crops of runner beans, potatoes, peas, lettuce, carrots, onions and beetroot are all growing well and will hopefully be harvested later this term.
