  • Jubilee Tea Party

    Fri 27 May 2022

Thank you to everyone involved in making our afternoon Jubilee Tea Party such a pleasurable experience. With the sun shining, our field provided a beautiful setting for our tea party. The children looked fantastic in their red, white and blue and enjoyed each classes procession round the tables to show off their outfits. The kitchen catered for their individual orders and the afternoon was finished off with Mr Lea leading the singing of our Jubilee song that they have learnt. A large number of the children will be performing the song in the Square during half term as part of the Hatherleigh town Jubilee celebrations.

  • Jubilee Tree planting

    Fri 27 May 2022

As part of our School's Jubilee celebrations, our Green Card Prize Draw winners helped to plant Silver birch, Rowan and Cherry trees around the school grounds. The children were assisted by Mrs Wonnacott with the trees being kindly donated by the Woodland Trust as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee green canopy project.

  • Jubilee mosaics

    Fri 27 May 2022

Over the last couple of weeks each class have been working hard designing and creating their Jubilee mosaic. Each class took on a different theme to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's 70 year reign. The final creations look absolutely amazing and will be displayed in the church over the Half term holiday as part of the History Society's display and will then be mounted around school for us to enjoy for many years to come. All the resources were kindly funded by Barkwells, thanks to Rob Bowden's link to school. This is our 2nd whole school art project funded by them and we would all like to send them a huge thank you as the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part.
