Hatherleigh Community Primary School Caring about learning and learning to care

R.E

The principal aim of religious education is to explore what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that pupils can gain the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to handle questions raised by religion and belief, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living.

Harvest Festival at Hatherleigh Methodist Church

2021-2022

Easter activities in Chestnuts.

We have been learning about the Creation Story. We painted pictures of some of the amazing things that God has created.

For Easter in Chestnuts we made an Easter Garden and had an egg hunt!

A Rakhi bracelet is used in a Hindu celebration. It is given to a brother from their sister, as a sign of their love for one another. In Chestnuts we made our own.

Chestnuts have been learning about how in Christianity and Judaism, God believes everybody is special.

Chestnuts, Hawthorns and Willows performed their play 'A Magical Christmas Journey', brilliantly.

Willows learnt about Advent and created their own wreaths.

The whole school gathered in the church for our Harvest festival.

Chestnuts have been learning about Diwali by drawing rangoli patterns with chalk.
