What a wonderful day we had today celebrating books. The children, and many members of staff, looked incredible in their costumes. In class they enjoyed many activities including sharing their own books, learning about being illustrators and creating book marks. All classes had a drama workshop with Jess Bailey, linked to Arthur and the Golden Rope by Joe Todd-Stanton. A whole school assembly at the end of the day was a great opportunity for each class to show what they had done.
It must be nearly Spring! The children thoroughly enjoyed the visit from Martin and Ann Marie today and their first cricket session on the year. Each class took part in warm up activities and practiced key cricket skills before a fun game at the end.
More information about how the children can take part in cricket sessions at Hatherleigh Cricket Club are on this week's newsletter.
As part of Children's mental health week, today was wear your scarf to school day. Classes have focused on the theme of My Voice Matters for their activities in the classroom.

It was fantastic to see the whole school supporting the NSPCC Dress Up for Digits day with a huge variety of Number related outfits. After a 'Number fashion show' in the Morgan Hall, classes were all busy with number related activities and games.
