• Town Crier competition

  Well done to the children who took part in the Town Crier competition. It was great to hear how loud and clear you could be having written your own speech. 

  

• Gardening Club

  Gardening club enjoying the spoils of their hard work with potato soup and stewed apple (kindly made by Mrs Bater) plus a roasted apple the children stuffed with raisins and raspberries and enjoyed. They were able to take home leeks and potatoes to cook at home too. Well done gardeners

  

• Maths workshops

  Maths workshops have continued in Year 1, 3 and 6 over the last couple of weeks. Thank you to all the parents who have attended. The children have really enjoyed having the time in school with you. 

  

• Hooke Court Residential

  Year 4 have had an amazing time away at Hooke Court this week learning all about the Ancient Greeks and it was lovely to spend the Tuesday with them. They learnt about life in Athens and Sparta, made ancient Greek food, jewellery and pots, decorated clay plates with their name written in the Greek alphabet, made and sailed Triremes and took part in fun team games. For some it was their first stay away from home, so well done for being brave. Thank you so much to the staff Ms Chauhan, Mrs Monger and Mrs McMillan who stayed away with them.
