  • Netball and football matches.

    Tue 12 Nov 2019
On Monday 11th November our netball team played Okehampton and Chagford.  Despite the rain, wind and hail, they kept going and played brilliantly as a team.  The A Team won 6-3 against Okehampton and then went on to win 9-1 against Chagford.   The B Team played brilliantly too, for many of them it was their first match.  They managed to hold off Okehampton until the fourth quarter with a score of 1-0, however the game finished 3-1 to Okehampton.  Well done to everyone involved, I was very proud of them all, they represented the school beautifully.  Mrs Emery
  • Hatherleigh Carnival 2019

    Mon 11 Nov 2019
It was fantastic to see so many children dressed up taking part in this year's carnival. Despite the occasional shower, everyone smiled and seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Thank you to everyone who took part, from the Town Crier competition in the morning, the afternoon parade and then the amazing floats in the evening .Well done everyone.
  • Carnival assembly

    Fri 01 Nov 2019
We thoroughly enjoyed a visit from some of the carnival committee who told us all about the history behind the carnival and preparations before this year's big event. The assembly started with a traditional cry from the winner of the town crier competition and of course included a whole school Oggy Oggy Oggy chant. After seeing a torch being made, the children were excited to see it alight- despite the pouring rain.

Mrs Gibson has been at school for 24 years and will be missed in so many areas of school life and has had a massive impact on so many children's lives. • 10th Whole school walk

    Mon 22 Jul 2019
For the 10th year running we set off for our whole school walk this morning. The sun wasn't quite shining but it was warm and I am sure many will have had an early night. Our 4 mile walk was full of adventure- hills to hike up and down, maize fields to go around, stiles to climb over, trees to limbo under and a lovely spot for lunch. Thank you to Mr Pearson and everyone else who helped organise the walk, appeared at the right points with fresh water to top up bottles and all the adults who accompanied their children on the walk.
