Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and as a school offer our respect and condolences to the Royal Family at this time of national mourning.

This is an historical event and the end of an era and as a school we would like to thank Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her loyal service to the nation over the last seventy years.

A special assembly was held in school this morning and the children went out to listen to the church bells at 1200. We have spent time in classes talking about her Majesty and her incredible reign.

The DfE has confirmed that schools should remain open currently. Once the funeral arrangements are confirmed by the Royal Household, the DfE will provide schools with further guidance, which we will pass on to you.
